Whiskey Tasting Event

Whiskey has been distilled and enjoyed in Ireland for centuries, but amazingly there was never a society dedicated to the country’s national spirit until recently. Ireland’s history has long been closely intertwined with that of our close neighbour Scotland, and this is no less true in the history of whiskey. The Irish Whiskey Society will provide a tasting and history session on Irish whiskey.

The Walking Tour

Kinsale Heritage Town Walks provide the ideal way to explore this unique town which has been at the centre of Irish history since the first settlers came, the history of Kinsale is the History of Ireland. Celts, Vikings, Normans and English as well as settlers from mainland Europe and North America have made it a unique place. Listen to the stories of the 1601 Siege and Battle of Kinsale and walk in the footsteps of James II, Oliver Cromwell. William Penn and John Wesley. Enjoy the tales of the White Lady, Pirates, Robinson Crusoe and Polar Explorers in addition to much much more.

 Gala Dinner

Enjoy the cuisine of local producers cooked to perfection by Actons wonderful team. Local producers will also be on hand to explain their products. A small artisan market will also be available to peruse on the evening.
